On February 5th, 2025, we celebrated the 15th birthday of World Read Aloud Day® (WRAD), so we're on a mission to make this the biggest WRAD yet by celebrating all year long! LitWorld founded World Read Aloud Day (WRAD) in 2010 to celebrate the power of reading aloud to create community and amplify new stories, and to advocate for literacy as a foundational human right. Stories were passed down from generation to generation even before writing was invented. World Read Aloud Day is just one opportunity they have to do that, and in 2018 they made a move that resulted in World Read Aloud Day being even more effective and able to reach people all around the world.
